What the American Traveler Warranty Covers
In the rare event that you encounter an issue with your luggage due to a manufacturing defect, American Traveler is committed to making it right. Upon inspection of your item, should we identify a defect in either the materials or the workmanship, we pledge to promptly repair or replace the luggage at no cost to you. This commitment is valid provided that all steps outlined on our Warranty Procedures page are diligently followed. It is essential to retain your retailer’s receipt as proof of purchase, as this is required for all warranty claims. Please be aware that all warranty claims are exclusively managed through our online platform to ensure efficiency and prompt service.
What the Warranty Does Not Cover
While we stand firmly behind the quality of our luggage, it’s important to understand the limitations of our warranty. The American Traveler warranty does not extend to cover damages arising from normal wear and tear, such as fabric fading, scratches, or abrasions accumulated over time and use. Furthermore, damage resulting from misuse or abuse of the luggage is also not covered. This specifically includes damage to moving parts like wheels and handles, or any component parts due to abnormal use.
Damage caused by airlines or mishandling during transit is explicitly excluded from our warranty coverage. In instances where airline handling results in damage to your luggage, it is imperative to immediately file a claim directly with the responsible airline. American Traveler’s warranty is designed to cover manufacturing defects, not damages incurred during transportation by third parties.
Please also note that American Traveler’s policy does not include refunds for products deemed defective under warranty. Our commitment is to repair or replace the defective item to ensure you can continue your travels with reliable luggage.
