These hidden Destiny 2 Traveler Collectibles, also known as Visions of the Traveler, not only offer fragments of lore about the enigmatic Traveler but also reward you with Motes of Light. These Motes are essential; when combined with others from Overthrow activities, they form a key to a special chest containing valuable rewards. However, pinpointing the exact Destiny 2 Traveler collectibles locations can be challenging as they are cleverly concealed within the vast regions of the Pale Heart. This guide provides a detailed walkthrough on how to find all Destiny 2 Visions of the Traveler collectibles and claim your rewards.

There are a total of eight Destiny 2 Traveler collectibles, officially named Visions of the Traveler, scattered throughout the Pale Heart patrol zones. Unlike some secrets, these Destiny 2 Traveler collectibles cannot be missed during campaign missions. To claim your rewards and progress towards the Khvostov Exotic Auto Rifle, you must return each Vision of the Traveler to the Lost City Tower. Specifically, head to the old Speaker’s area, located in the southern part of the Tower on the Pale Heart map – the very place where you first encountered Cayde-6 during the Destiny 2: The Final Shape campaign. Upon reaching this area, you’ll find podiums designed to hold the collectibles. These podiums also offer cryptic clues related to the Destiny 2 Traveler collectibles locations you have yet to discover, offering a hint for those who prefer a bit of a puzzle.

Collecting each Vision of the Traveler grants you a Pale Heart Engram, Glimmer, 150 Ghost Reputation, and, most importantly, a Mote of Light. Gathering all eight Motes of Light from these Destiny 2 Traveler collectibles is a vital step in obtaining the Destiny 2 Khvostov Exotic Auto Rifle. These eight Motes, combined with nine additional Motes of Light earned from Overthrow activities, create a Mote of Primordial Light. This key item is used to open a special gold chest that directly rewards you with the Khvostov. As you collect each Vision, you’ll also hear insightful commentary from Micah-10, who interprets the visions you uncover, adding to the lore and narrative experience. Here’s a breakdown of where to find each Vision of the Traveler:

In the Lost City’s central hub area, just outside the Arbor of Light section of the Tower, navigate to the northwest. Use the orange platforms to jump across the gaps and reach the far end of this area, where you’ll find a series of waterfalls. The Destiny 2 Traveler collectible in this location hovers serenely within a pool of water at the base of one of these waterfalls.

Begin at the Landing fast travel point. Immediately turn left and follow the natural rock wall along the edge of the map. Continue along this wall until you encounter another waterfall. The Destiny 2 Traveler collectible is situated next to this waterfall, although it may be partially concealed by a bush, so keep a close eye out.
Destiny 2 Vision of the Traveler Location: Refraction

Continue deeper into the Transgression area, moving past several sections affected by sandstorms. Keep to the left side of the path as you explore this area. Eventually, you will spot a tree emitting a faint, red light. The final Destiny 2 Traveler collectible is located just behind this tree, marking the last Vision to collect in the Pale Heart.
Once you have gathered all eight Visions of the Traveler, return to the Lost City Tower and place them on the designated podiums. This will reveal a gold chest. If you have also collected all the Motes of Light from Overthrow activities, the Destiny 2 Lost Encryption Bits, and possess the Legendary Khvostov, you will be able to open this chest and claim the Exotic Khvostov 7G-0X Auto Rifle!
